Arriving by plane or cruise ship in Dubrovnik, Kotor, Tivat, Podgorica or Sarajevo? You do not need a car to raft the Tara. Rafting Camp Eden organises transfers from the airport or port to our camp in the Tara Canyon and back, for one traveller or a large group, and we put together the rest of your stay: rafting, hikes, jeep safari and other tours.
Many visitors to the Adriatic coast want to see the Tara Canyon - the deepest canyon in Europe - but are not sure how to get there. This guide explains how our transfers work, what you can do at the camp and how to book.
Where can we pick you up?
- Dubrovnik - Dubrovnik Airport and the Dubrovnik port (cruise ships)
- Kotor - Kotor port (cruise ships)
- Tivat - Tivat Airport
- Podgorica - Podgorica Airport
- Sarajevo - Sarajevo Airport
Staying in a hotel or apartment elsewhere on the coast, in Budva, Herceg Novi or around the Bay of Kotor? Get in touch and we will see what we can arrange. At the end of your stay we drive you back to the airport or the port.
How does the transfer work?
- Send us your details: dates, pick-up point, number of passengers and your flight number or ship schedule.
- We reply within 24 hours with the price of the transfer and a suggested plan for your stay.
- We pick you up at the agreed time and place and drive you to the camp at Hum - Šćepan Polje, Foča, at the confluence of the Tara and Piva rivers.
- We drive you back when your stay is over.
Transfers are arranged for everyone from a single traveller or a couple to families and large groups. The transfer is charged separately and the price depends on the pick-up location and the number of passengers.
Coming on a cruise ship?
Whether you can raft and be back on board the same day depends on your ship's schedule. Send us the time your ship arrives and leaves port, and we will tell you honestly whether a same-day trip works or whether it is better to stay a night at the camp. If your cruise ends or starts in Dubrovnik or Kotor, a few days at the camp before or after the cruise is the easiest way to fit the Tara in.
What to do once you are here
The transfer takes you to the camp - and from there we organise everything else:
- Rafting on the Tara: the 1-day package (65€), the 2-day package (105€) or the 3-day package (150€), with buffet meals, full equipment and a licensed skipper in every raft. A rafting day is breakfast at the camp, about an hour's drive to the start, about 4 hours through the canyon, and lunch back at the camp.
- The whole canyon: the 4-day 100 km rafting expedition with Durmitor sightseeing and a stop at the Đurđevića Tara bridge.
- Tours and activities: guided hikes to Perućica primeval forest, Trnovačko Lake, Maglić, Zelengora and Durmitor, jeep safari, horseback riding, canyoning, canoeing, via ferrata and ZIP line and a lake cruise.
- Everything in one week: the 5-day Adventure Tour combines rafting or canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, ZIP line and a lake cruise, with all meals.
You stay at the camp in units with a private bathroom or in our A-frame cabins. Vegetarian, vegan and fasting meals are available on request.
Good to know before you travel

- Season: the camp is open from May to October. For July and August, book your transfer and rafting well ahead.
- Children: the minimum age for rafting is 6. Read more in Tara rafting with kids.
- Weekdays: there is 20% off all packages from Monday to Friday.
From the Adriatic sea to Europe's deepest canyon - you take care of the flight or the cruise, we take care of the rest.
